Google has released a tool that allows users of the Plus network to merge different Google Accounts into one. After merging contacts from various Google accounts the users will only see the data from one integrated account.
The tool will make sure that users with different Google Accounts will have all their contacts in one central place. According to Google, an account can be set as the main account where all contacts on the Plus network can be forwarded. The tool is part of Google takeout, which allows users to export their data.
Google says that contacts from an account can be linked to the central account, but it is not possible to apply shared content such as status updates and photos to all of the accounts at the same time. Also profile information is not linked.
Users who choose to merge their various accounts on the Plus network must wait seven days before the transfer begins. As per Google, the process itself can take up to 48 hours, and during that period no status updates can be posted.
This is one of many strategies Google has to increase the user base for Google Plus. Even though Google Plus showed excellent growth in the beginning, its user base has been plateauing. It will be interesting to see how Google manages this integration.

Google has made some changes to Gmail that will integrate it more with Google+ The webmail service now provides easier access to details from Circle contacts and messages.
In a search for an e-mail in Gmail, Google now shows the details of contacts over the messages from that person, next to a picture and links to chat options and the phone number of the person. If the contact has a Google+ Account, the up to date details are automatically displayed.
Google announced late last year that they were planning to integrate Google+ Circles with Gmail. The search engine company now shows the profile pictures of contacts in a Circle in the top of the page in Gmail to see if the user selects one of its circles. With a click on a contact displays users have access to direct service such as messages, along with profile details of the person. Also, Gmail users can have direct access to contacts in specific circles with a feature that searches all mail from Circle contacts.
Recent studies show that Google+ has not increased in usage or popularity, with the term “ghost town” is often cited. Google is trying to use its services that are popular to promote the integration of the social networking service. Google considers it crucial that its Google+ strategy succeeds, to compete with the much more popular Facebook.

Developers have recently got S Voice, Voice Recognition System from Samsung, working on other Android smartphones. The system, which is very similar to Apple’s Siri, is intended for the Galaxy S III from Samsung.
The S Voice is easy to install, because it requires only one file installation in an apk format. It seems that Samsung has not integrated the voice control for Android with its own TouchWiz-skin. This quite different to HTC where a lot of HTC Sense apps do not work on other devices. Interestingly, the required apk file for S Voice was a leaked ROM for the Galaxy S III.
The S Voice system seems to work on many different devices: the only requirement would be that the device has an Android 4.0 operating system. However, the voice system software is sometimes unstable, as evidenced by several users first experiences using the program. Occasionally the S Voice crashed and you would have to restart the program.
By installing the apk file users will be accessing the S Voice software before the official release. The Samsung Galaxy S III will probably launch in various countries at the end of this month. Other than S Voice the next new Android flagship has other amazing features such as S Beam and WiFi for data transfer. For those of you that are more patient, just wait for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III to use the S Voice.

Sony has announced two new smartphones for the Japanese market. Both models feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor the S4, which is the more powerful successor of the S3 processor at currently powers Sony’s flagship Xperia S.
Although the devices are currently announced for the Japanese market, it is expected that these new Sony smartphones or variations of them will be seen in the market elsewhere in the world. The Xperia GX runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 processor, a dual-core processor based on Qualcomm’s new Krait core. The S4’s new micro-architecture is faster than the S3 Snapdragon processors, which are in the current flagship Xperia S’s. It is unclear what GPU is in the device and Sony has not announced whether it is the S4 or S4 Pro, two variants of the same SOC with different GPUs.
The GX is the first Sony Xperia smartphone with a 13 MP camera and this is new technology developed by the manufacturer. The camera has a feature to make better videos in dark conditions by adding a white subpixel. Also, in January, Sony announced sensor that supports HDR technology for videos.
The GX has a 4.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and is released with Android 4.0 with Sony’s own skin. It is also the first Xperia smartphone to be entirely capacitive or without physical buttons below the screen. The GX has the model number LT29i and was temporarily known under the code name Hayabusa. The Xperia SX offers largely the same specifications and features but has a smaller 3.7 “screen.
